Workshop for PhD Supervisors (and their Students)
Would you like to exchange experience and ideas on PhD supervision with colleagues?
Would you like to get tools and new input to make the supervision more effective and satisfactory for both parties?
Would you like to engage in a process that can improve the mutual process and the relation between supervisor and PhD student to obtain a better outcome?
In this workshop PhD supervisors and students will get opportunities to work together and in separate groups of supervisors and students on how to improve the supervision process to the benefit of both parties. The workshop will contain a mixture of presentations by the course leaders, group work and assignments. In the period between the two workshop days, supervisors and students will be placed in separate peer-supervision groups where the participants will mutually give and receive feedback on real-life supervision sessions.
Former participants wrote:
"It was very useful to meet with other supervisors and students and get inspiration plus input from others - including a method of peer supervision"
"The course provides a dynamic and personal opportunity to improve the supervision of a current supervisor-student"
"The course gave an opportunity to explore different ways of supervision, different views on supervision as well as on being a PhD-student"
