Ricardo Karam has been elected as a director of the IHPST Council (2015-2017)

Information about the IHPST group:

The International History, Philosophy, and Science Teaching Group (IHPST) was formed in 1987. The group is concerned to promote the betterment of school and university science and mathematics education by making them informed by the history, philosophy, and sociology of science and mathematics. It has a particular interest in bringing these spheres of knowledge into teacher-education programmes. Responsibilities of the IHPST Council director:

The Directors are responsible for contributing their perspectives concerning broad policy decisions for the purpose of promoting the welfare and mission of the organisation. They assume leading roles in the IHPST Council meetings, which are held once a month.
