Museographic transposition

The project investigates an existing museum exhibit as a case of an informal learning environment. The project utilises the ideas of Chevallard regarding didactic transposition and knowledge ecologies to analyse the development of the scientific knowledge that frames the exhibit development process. The project seeks to produce a descriptive model of exhibit development using as a framework the research question: what are the constraints and opportunities that govern the putting-into-exhibition of a specific object of knowledge?

The project was conducted during August 2007-2008 by PhD-student Marianne Foss Mortensen, the Department of Science Educaction.
