Postdoc position in Copenhagen

At the Department of Science Education (DSE), University of Copenhagen, one 2 year postdoc position may become available to an excellent recent phd in mathematics or science education (ph.d. must be obtained after 2000). Applications will be assessed by international experts, and a record of international publications is indispensable.

Research projects on university level science or mathematics education, including teacher education, are particularly encouraged.

Notice that application has to be submitted through a tenured faculty member at DSE, who will act as supervisor of the post.doc. work. Contacts should therefore be initiated before the deadline (February 14).

Applications must be in English and contain the following information:

1 Cover page including:
- Project title
- Name of PI (professor or associate professor at DSE)
- Summary paragraph

2 Project description of max. 3 pages including:
- Background
- Goals
- Research plan

3 The following should be included as appendices:
a- PI cv - max 2 pages including list of max 5 relevant publications from 2000-08
b- Post-doc cv - max 2 pages with list of max 10 relevant publications
c- Budget specifying other funds available to support the post-doc during 2008-09 (salary, running costs, other)

Deadline for full application: February 14, 2008 (submission by the PI to the Deputy head of research).
