Postdoc in Science Education

The Department of Science Education at the University of Copenhagen is looking for a postdoc to focus on science teaching and learning in university laboratories.

The postdoc’s duties will primarily include research within the project ‘Improving Quality of Laboratory Learning at University Level’ (IQ-Lab) which is a collaboration between Department of Science Education at the Faculty of Science and Department of Pharmacy at the Faculty of Health. 

The project will provide the overall context of the postdoc’s research. The postdoc will become part of a vibrant, creative and open project team collaboration consisting of three senior researchers, two PhD fellows, one research assistant and one technical administrative assistant. 

The postdoc will become responsible for parts of the project under guidance of the senior researchers. The specific research tasks for the postdoc will depend on the competences of the successful candidate and the tasks will be decided in a dialogue with the senior researchers. Parts of the project can be molded to fit the candidate’s competences and interests.

The candidate must be able to document experiences with conducting empirical science educational research.

Applicants must be able to communicate fluently (written and orally) in English.
