For doctoral students in Didactics of Mathematics

Every year in Block 2 (from around Nov. 10 to end of January) the PhD course Advanced Didactics of Mathematics is offered. it is open both to Danish and international PhD-students who specialize in Didactics of Mathematics, as well as to advanced MSc-students and PhD-students in pure mathematics.  For more information about Advanced Didactics of Mathematics: click here.

Every second year - usually in October/November - we offer a more specialised doctoral course in ATD based research within the didactics of mathematics and science. The next time is going to be 2023. Also watch this site for all Phd-courses in Denmark.

If you are interested in doing a PhD in Didactics of Mathematics at the University of Copenhagen, you are also welcome to contact me. Please notice that funding is always to be obtained via external sources.

For Bachelor and Master students in Mathematics

Every year in Block 4 (from around Apr 20 to end of June) we offer a course on Mathematics in a teaching context. Here your background as (at least) bachelor in mathematics is turned into a teachers' perspectives on high school mathematics.  The course is taught in Danish and is most easily taken by students with a minor in mathematics. For more information about Mathematics in a Teaching Context (UvMat): click here.

Students doing a major in mathematics can either contact me about bachelor projects in educational mathematics, or about master level projects (including master thesis, of which a great number are written on Didactics of Mathematics). Notice though that MSc-level projects require passing the Master course DidMatV first.
