My research interest is in the meeting between on the one hand the institutions of science education and, on the other hand, the participants, first of all the students.

My research concerns university teaching and learning as well as upper-secondary school.  In particular, I have studied the transition of students from upper-secondary school into university.

A second focus during the past years has been the experiences of students from less privileged socio-economic backgrounds when attending upper-secondary school.
