Teaching philosophy of science to science students
Philosophy of science in practice studies the sciences in their development, both historically and by studying contemporary science in the making. This pre-conference workshop held prior to the SPSP2015 in Aarhus focused on how results from historical and philosophical studies of science can provide important insights of relevance to scientists, to science managers, and to science educators and on how insights from philosophy of science in practice can be used in higher education to improve the training of young, aspiring scientists – that is, on how philosophy of science in practice can contribute to making better scientists.
