How to map data science for educational design purposes?

In this talk we will present the first findings of the DASME project. We have been mapping the landscape of data science BA programs in Denmark to identify similarities and differences, key elements and how this match international frameworks like recommendations from Association for Computing Machinery, ACM. We use the mapping to identify and discuss key aspects of data science to be transposed into upper secondary school mathematics in order to develop the notion of mathematical modelling in directions of critical citizenship in a data driven world.

The presentation will be based on recent work done by members of the DASME project: Louise Meieer Carlsen, IT University Copenhagen, Magnus Mangor Hansen, Milla Mandrup and Britta Eyrich Jessen, IND.

Speaker: Britta Eyrich Jessen
