Abstract
In this talk, we explore how upper-secondary physics teachers adopt and experience generative AI (GAI) in their professional practice. Drawing on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2) and Self-Determination Theory (SDT), we examine the technological, pedagogical, and professional considerations that shape teachers’ engagement with GAI. Using thematic analysis, including thematic network analysis, we investigate how these considerations interact and influence teachers’ decisions about whether and how to use GAI in their teaching. We will then present an overview of the AIPLA platform and explore how it could be used in teaching.
