The course addresses many important questions and dilemmas. Is data neutral? Can you have control over your personal data? How can data be used to serve various interests? What are the risks and benefits of data-driven technologies? Why is it more important than ever to be data literate and data-aware? In essence, what is data literacy, and why does it matter?

It is now possible to sign up for the course, and we are happy with the result. We clearly conceptualise what it is to be data literate as related to three “spheres” – a personal, a public/democratic and a sphere of knowledge production.
