Teaching portfolio

This project was one of seven projects under UCPH’s strategic development efforts in education. The aim of this project was to develop tools for the individual university teachers to develop and maintain a teaching portfolio with the purpose of supporting the individual university teachers in continuously enhancing their scholarship of teaching.

The organization of the project ensured embeddedness at all faculties with involvement of both leadership and teaching staff. The portfolio project was organised in a project group with members from all faculties and from the three didactic units (DSE, TEACH and PCS) of the university, with a project leader, Sofie Kobayashi, from DSE.

Teaching portfolios have been a requirement in relation to job applications at associate professor's and full professor’s level since 2011, and is used as part of the teaching development programmes at UCPH. With the portfolio project the university wanted to expand the use of teaching portfolio to an e-portfolio for all staff members to reflect on and develop their teaching and scholarship of teaching. Teaching portfolios will also become part of the Performance and Development Reviews (so called “MUS”). The portfolio project developed workshops or short courses as well as e-learning tools, to support staff in the use of teaching portfolio at all levels.
