Conference on Computational Thinking
On the Content
We are thrilled to have a keynote by Gerhard Fischer, Professor of Computer Science, a Fellow of the Institute of Cognitive Science, and the founder and director of the Center for Lifelong Learning & Design at the University of Colorado Boulder. Fischer's talk is entitled "Computational Thinking and Computational Literacy: Past, Present, and Future."
Later, we will host a series of discussions around CT research at the Nordics University of Southern Denmark, University of Oslo, Malmö University, and the University of Copenhagen. This lively discussion is based on five research papers exploring different aspects of CT.
Our second and interactive talk of the day is by Helle Marie Skovbjerg and Sofie Kinch, Design School Kolding, Denmark. Their talk is embodied, giving people the chance to walk, listen, and discuss about how play can support inclusive computational thinking and tinkering.
The day ends with discussing the next steps for CT, Tinkering, and play. And how we as a community of teachers, researchers, practitioners, and people can push forward a playful and inclusive approach.
