Following my participation to ICMI Study 24 “School Mathematics Curriculum Reforms: Challenges, Changes and Opportunities”, I will present some preliminary analyses grounded in the anthropological theory of the didactic to approach questions related to the driving forces and barriers shaping mathematics curriculum reforms .
