Didactical Engineering methodology in preservice teacher education practice

Abstract: 

Didactical engineering (DE) is a methodology for experimental research in mathematics education, with a strong root and base in the theory of didactic situations. In this seminar we will present the main shape and results of a transposition of DE elements to mathematics teacher education practicum based on lesson study, carried out in 2018 at the Federal University of Pernambuco (Universidade Federal de Pernambuco). Concretely we present a case involving a research lesson on measurement of length.
