How is mathematics taught after the 2017-reform in upper secondary school?

Speaker:
Britta Jessen, IND

Abstract:
In this seminar I present the first results of the SIGMA project, providing an analysis of how mathematics is taught in upper secondary school in Denmark. The analysis is based on classroom observations, electronic surveys and interviews with teachers and students. This analysis represent the baseline study for implementing more inquiry based teaching as Study and Research Paths. At the seminar we will discuss the conditions and constraints for SRP based teaching in the light of the analysis.

The SIGMA project is funded by the Lundbeck foundation.

The seminar will be broadcast via Adobe Connect to participants who are not able to be present real time. Please write to winslow@ind.ku.dk in order to obtain the link and password reuiqred to attend.
