Infrastructure for students' writing in primary school mathematics

Ph.d.-projekt

The aim of this project is to bridge the gap of Danish research on writing in primary school mathematics, and by the concrete hypothesis that improved students learning could be achieved by implementing specific elements of Japanese didactical infrastructure and paradidactical infrastructure, related to notebook use and bansho. It is further hypothesized that the paradidactical infrastructure of lesson study could function both as a lever for the implementation, as well as a method for the researchers to identify conditions and constraints for teachers and students, and as a source of input to our analysis of how the implementation affects student learning.
